J.ELAINE YOUNG

J. Elaine Young, the first of thirteen children born in Fitzgerald, Georgia is an anointed
praise and worship leader that ministers out of her very own life experiences, her deep
faith, and her abiding love for God and His people. Pastor “J” as she is affectionately
known, is the devoted wife of Senior Pastor, Dr. Robert L. Young, the mother of three
beautiful children and three amazing grandchildren respectively.

After working in an administrative capacity in the corporate sector for more than twenty
years, J. Elaine answered the call to re-evaluate her career options and subsequently
became one of Miami-Dade County School District’s outstanding educators. It was in
this new career venture that she wrote her first melody ”The Reciprocal Rap” that would
introduce her students to a musical innovation that would heightened the
comprehension level of reading for struggling learners. And for seventeen years, J.
Elaine was committed to making a difference in the lives of not only middle and high
school students but teachers and administrative personnel alike.
In the fall of 2003, J. Elaine gained musical momentum when she appeared in her first
live concert where she introduced two of her original songs; “It’s Just Time”, and
“Forever Praise His Name”.

In 2005 J. Elaine was License as an ordained Psalmist and currently to date has
composed more than twenty songs that reflect her co-dependence on the Word of God
to heal and encourage the broken hearted, to lift the spirits of the downtrodden, and to
inspire and motivate all creation to give our God the glory that is due Him.
Currently J. Elaine Young serves with her husband as Executive Pastor of the Word
Church, Intl. in Miami, Florida. She is also Praise Leader for the Judah Worship Team,
and Director of the Cultured Pearls Women’s Ministry.

In 2018 Pastor embraced yet another milestone in His plan for her life; the
release and debut of her official debut single “Leap” and is set to release her latest

single "Don't Worry" February 29th 2020.
With gratitude and humbleness of heart, J. Elaine’s desire like the Psalmist David, is to
“Let my mouth be filled with HIS praise and with HIS glory all the day.” (Psalm 71:8)
